2024 GMC Canyon AT4X AEV: Best (and Most Expensive) Midsize Off

GMC continues to improve on its off-road technology and for 2024 has updated Canyon's Baja drive mode to include, interestingly, a launch control feature. We're scratching our heads in an attempt to figure out why an off-road truck that makes 310 hp needs such a feature, but alas we must digress. GMC says that this feature, which works like all the rest (hold the brake and accelerator simultaneously, release the brake, zoom) is intelligent and can learn the driving surface through multiple passes. By adjusting engine speed and torque output the truck improves its performance on subsequent passes. We've seen this technology implemented before in the GMC Hummer's Watts To Freedom (WTF) drive mode, but that truck makes 1,000 horsepower.
